"On October 26th 2010 the European Veteran Rugby Association - E.V.R.A.
has been founded in Heidelberg (Germany).
The founders of this new European organisation are 38 veteran clubs/teams,
individual rugby personalities from 14 different European countries.
The aims of this non-profit sports association are to develop
independent European Veteran Rugby organisatíon with the
organisation of Licor Beirao European Series - mini festivals/tournaments
throughout Europe and with the European festivals to be held each second
year in different European country.
About the first EVRA European Festival is in
Cascais (Portugal), September 7th - 10th 2011.

The
Tournament is included in the EGOR 2010 Series and will take place in
the beautiful Village of Cascais at Campo da Guia (very soft
Astroturf).
The maximum number of participant teams will be eight,
allowing the Organizing Club to keep the Fantastic Hospitality and
Familiar Atmosphere, as well as an equal number of matches for
everybody.
FORMAT
- Friday
(16th April 2010):
Evening: Welcome Cocktail (Players and Followers invited)
- Saturday
(17th April 2010):
All
Day: Rugby Vets Tournament - 2 Groups of 4 Teams
Final:
The Final is a Surprise!!! Do not try to guess who will play!
Night:
Closing Dinner and Party (Players and Followers invited)
- Rules:
standard XV rugby rules including usual veteran modifications (age of 35
or more, no push in scrums, no kicking outside 22m zone and no lifting
in lineout).
The
participant Teams will be updated with the Agenda (also available here).
One thing is
sure - Everyone will leave Cascais saying Count us in next Year!
